Happy Black Friday Everyone!! Did you all have an amazing Thanksgiving? I know mine was VERY nice. Driving home from my parents last night, we saw a ton of stores with lines waiting to get in for the “deals”. I get that everyone likes a deal but waiting in line in the cold just isn’t my cup of tea, especially on Thanksgiving night. Are any of you doing Black Friday shopping? I might go out after Bob gets home from work but right now, a lot of my shopping will be done through Amazon. Well let’s get to a little recap from our Thanksgiving this year through pictures then we will get onto the favorites of Friday…
She’s just too-too funny!! Love her to the Moon and back!!
Pants – check, boots – check, scarf – check, watch – check, sweater – NEED!
Favorite “AB” Workout
I love when an empty almond or cookie butter jar happens which means: oats in a jar!! YUM!
Well I hope you all have a fabulous Friday and don’t forget to head of to Heather’s Blog for some more Friday Favorites. Cheers! XOXO
Over here at The Sweet Spot, we are wishing you and family a very Happy Thanksgiving. Put down the phones, turn off the TV (except for football…lol) and spend time with the people that matter the most in life. We should give thanks for what we are given everyday of the year because you don’t know when you won’t have it anymore. Give Thanks & Spread The Love!! Cheers! XOXO
Pets!! Just because our dogs or cats don’t talk doesn’t mean they aren’t part of the family. I have always grown up with animals around me. My parent’s dog Linus is probably Keely’s bestest friend. She will “call” Linus throughout the day even though he lives with my parents and it’s the cutest thing. I am sad that we had to giveaway our two cats but they didn’t take to Keely very well and you could tell they were unhappy.
Now, onto a happy note…I recently started doing some marketing/social media for a company called, Plainfield Pet Supply Outlet and now that the holidays are around corner, I am just making sure that people remember their furry family!! Don’t forget that “Santa Dog/Cat” will be making a visit to your house on Christmas Eve as well. What canine or feline wouldn’t love a new toy or treat on Christmas Day?!?! Anyways, check out the site as they got some awesome products.
I am also very excited because we will be hosting a Blood Drive on Saturday, December 28th from 9am-1pm and we will have a rescue group here as well. If you live in the Chicagoland area (near Plainfield), please stop by to donate blood to help save lives and check out some adorable dogs & cats that will be up for adoption. Who knows, I might even go home with a puppers…ha-ha!
Well have a great Tuesday!! Cheers! XOXO

Happy, happy Monday & MIMM everyone! Did you all have a good weekend? Over here it was very relaxing but I did get some Christmas shopping done, YAY me!! These days are just flying by and we have so much going on so whenever I get a chance to get out “toddlerless”, I take advantage of it because we all know you can’t Christmas shop with a toddler. Anyways, how excited are you all that Thanksgiving is this Thursday?!?! I know I am totally stocked about it and can’t wait to spend the day with my parents. I am also looking forward to Saturday as we are doing our one tradition and going to Lincoln Park Zoo to see the lights then out for pizza plus the bestie is going to be in town and will be joining us…(another) YAY!! Well let’s get onto some marvelous happenings from the weekend (might be a little short…:()
OMG…these are AMAZEBALLS!! I found them at Wal-Mart and couldn’t resist them….HELLO, LOVER!!
The peeps over at Justin’s sent me a nice little coupon for some nut butter and I decided to change it up and get the Chocolate Hazelnut Butter this time…swoon!
Thinking of hosting a “favorite things party” with some girl friends in February. Has anyone had/been to one before?
I got sucked into Two Boston’s as I saw they were having a puppy adoption event there on Saturday. Seriously, look at that face (okay, not my makeup-less face), I wanted to take that little girl home with me but didn’t…good willpower I guess?!?! BTW, the rescue that was having the event was Starfish Animal Rescue and they are located in Plainfield, IL so local readers, if you are looking for a new addition for your family, check them out.
Pandora taking over my life…here’s how it looks: Paramore station while working out (great running music), Nelly & Christina Perri station while getting ready and Christmas station ALL DAY LONG!! Tis the Season!!
Ending a Monday perfectly!!
Hope you all have a fabulous Monday & week. Don’t get to check out Katie’s Blog for some more marvelous happenings. Cheers! XOXO
FYI: One month from today is Christmas…YAY!!
Happy Friday Everyone! Did you all have a good week? It’s weird that I am writing a Friday post already as it feels like it should be a Monday or something. Today is my first day with my new part-time job. I am going into the office today to learn about their marketing plan but hoping to be working from home a lot more once I get some training and learn about my role. Anyways, we have a pretty relaxed weekend planned which totally ROCKS. Well, let’s get to my favorites from the week…
We went to the *free* zoo this week and the Mountain Lions were out and ready to play…
How cute is this outfit for a Mom on the go?!?!
Favorite Snuggle Buddy
Kisses for my munchkin!!
Tis the Season, Disney!!
So perfect to end the week with this quote…you all are AMAZING!!
Getting into the Holiday Season over here with one of my favorite Christmas songs!!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Make sure to check out some more Friday Favorites over at Heather’s Blog. Cheers!! XOXO
Green Smoothies!! Today, it’s all about being thankful of something green so I am picking my green smoothies and not money…ha-ha!!
I have a green smoothie just about everyday (sometimes even twice a day) and they are delish. Here’s what’s in mine: spinach, almond milk & butter, frozen banana (sometimes frozen berries as well), protein powder and flaxseed…mmm…mmm…GOOD!! That cute little green thing you see in the last picture is my spinach muffins which are to die for with some almond butter on them. Anyways, the best thing about “green monsters” is that you can put in whatever you would like and it’s very nutritious. Well you probably couldn’t put something in unhealthy and have it be healthy but if that’s what you wanna do, then so be it! I’ll put in carrots, broccoli and kale from time to time as well. If you haven’t tried one yet, now is the time. Cheers!! XOXO

It’s hump day!! Wow, this week is just flying by that’s for sure. Before I start another addition of WIAW, I’d like to wish the Bestie a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I am so thankful that Katie came into my life because she’s pretty incredible and I know our friendship will last till we are old and gray and WAY beyond that as well. I hope you have an amazing day, Bestie!! Can’t wait till December when you are living back here and we get to see each other EVERYDAY…ha-ha. Love you!
The Birthday Girl and I…we need to recreate this night again!! ❤
Now, let’s get to my eats from the weekend…
My breakfast on the weekends is usually good as I workout in the morning so I like to make sure I fuel myself for the day…
My lunch on the weekends can either look like one of these or nothing at all (I know, HORRIBLE) as we are usually “go-go” on the weekends during lunchtime or she is napping and I am getting things done around the house and will wipe up a quick smoothie to down while doing chores.
Most dinners on the weekends will be eaten at home but sometimes we will go out to eat as well. Some of them may include an adult beverage and dessert. Hey, it’s the weekend, right?!?! Anyways, I try and keep where my eating doesn’t change that much during the week and weekend.
Well I hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday and don’t forget to check out some more yummy meals over at Peas and Crayons. Cheers!! XOXO
