Happy Monday! Did you all have a nice holiday weekend? I know I was pretty excited that the 4th fell on a Friday which meant LONGER weekend and boy, was it a nice weekend. It involved, family, fun and food. Who can complain about those three things…NOONE!!
Every Thursday, Keely comes home from school with a folder FULL of crafts they did for three days. Last week was all about colors and each day was a different color…how cute is her little craft wall. I think every Thursday when we go through what she made, I cry…lol! Once we redo her room in the fall, we are going to put her artwork in frames in the hallway but right now, she likes showcasing them in her room. 🙂
How did I never know that this song was Sara Bareilles…she’s AMAZING!!
Nothing like cousin love on the 4th of July!! Keely loves Matthew and I think she could follow him around all day!! 🙂
Saturday, was all about the Chicago White Sox…such a fun time with these little ones even though the Sox lost…BOO! Seriously, how cute is the hand holding?!?!
We wanted to make the most of Sunday so we did some grocery shopping, played outside, napped it out then headed to Windy City Ribfest.
We weren’t planning on eating there as I had planned dinner at home but somehow a smoked chicken sandwich and pulled pork ended up in our hands…WEIRD!! We ended the fun festival day at a nearby restaurant where Keely enjoyed a BEAUTIFUL bowl of ice cream and Bob and I enjoyed an adult beverage…not a bad way to end a fun weekend.
Your turn: What did you do on the 4th of July?
